The names and marks of The University will not be used in promotion of alcohol, tobacco and/or "recreational" drug products.
University logos cannot be used to endorse or promote a private group or business unless authorized by a formal contract or sponsorship agreement. Private companies are allowed to use University logos only after entering into a promotion specific agreement with the University.
Merchandise that bears a registered (or common law) trademark, trade name, service mark, or logo of The University of Arizona name must be approved, in writing, by the Office of Trademarks and Licensing (or its agent the Collegiate Licensing Company). Merchandise produced without written authorization may be considered "counterfeit" and subject to all available legal remedies, including seizure of the merchandise.
Logos are to be used as registered, including the appropriate trademark designation, but may not be otherwise altered without the expressed authorization of the University of Arizona Brand Identity Office and the Office of Trademarks and Licensing.
Departments and officially recognized University student groups, clubs and organizations may use certain logos for official business. The UA Style Guide is available for your reference. Departments requesting authorization for use within official University publications, letterhead and business cards should direct their requests to the University of Arizona Brand Identity Office (520-621-6461).
Organizations and Departments are encouraged to use the University names and marks in association with their "official mark", but University names and marks may not be part of the actual organization/department mark or logo. In addition to this rule, no organization/department marks or logos may be trademarked using University owned names and marks.

PLEASE NOTE: The image of Old Main (including logos, photographs, renderings, paintings, etc.) is a trademark of the University of Arizona and may not be used without prior written authorization from The University of Arizona’s Office of Trademarks and Licensing.
